ASSURANCE  & ATTEST SERVICES

We view our role in the financial reporting process as an opportunity to provide constructive solutions for maximizing your company’s profitability and efficiency. We provide financial reporting on the following levels of assurance:

AUDIT:

An audit provides the highest level of assurance and, as such, requires much more work by a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) than is required for compilation or review

An accountant/auditor is required to corroborate the amounts and disclosures included in the financial statements through test of the accounting documents, physical inspection, the use of third party confirmations or other procedures deemed appropriate.

The auditor’s report provides an opinion that the financial statements present fairly in all material respects, the financial position of the company and the results of operations in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

REVIEW:

A Review requires an accountant to perform more procedures than is required with a compilation, but less than an audit. An accountant performs inquiry and analytical procedures on the financial statements and provides limited assurance that there is no material modification that should be made to the financial statement to be in conformity with GAAP.

COMPILATION:

Is the lowest level of service that a CPA can provide for a client’s financial statement. A compilation basically involves presenting information, consistent with management’s representation, in the form of financial statements, without expressing any assurance on them.

AGREED-UPON-PROCEDURES:

Is an engagement in which an accountant/CPA is engaged to carry out those procedures of an audit nature to which the auditor and the entity and any appropriate third parties have agreed and to report on factual findings. Examples:

  • Projections, Budgets and Proforma Financial Statements
  • Fraud Investigations and Confirming Bank, Accounts Receivable and Inventory balances
  • Projections, Budgets and Proforma Financial Statements
  • Internal Control Policies & Procedures
